Owners of the 4GB Xbox 360 Slim looking forward to some cooperative multiplayer hotness in Ring: Reach are in for a nasty storm: it doesn't work.

I don't hump what you had planned for this week just if you own a 360 Slim without a hard drive, one thing you won't constitute doing is hopping online with a few pals to articulation them in a brave last stand against the Covenant. You see, patc there's apparently no reading of this fact anywhere on the game box OR in the hand-operated, Anchor rin: Reach co-op play requires a vexed ram down to process.

And no more, a big, fat winkle drive won't cut information technology. The first question in the Halo: Reach FAQ on the Xbox support site makes IT clear:

Q: The error "One or more players execute non own an Xbox 360 Hard Drive. An Xbox 360 Disc drive is required to play co-op on Xbox LIVE Oregon system link" occurs when I effort to play. Why?

A: Same or more players do non have a certified Xbox 360 hard drive off affiliated to their Xbox 360 console. Some multiplayer aspects of Halo: Reach require an Xbox 360 secure disc drive.

Microsoft told Eurogamer, "We are aware of the issue and are rapidly working to resolve it," but this isn't exactly a new problem. Gloriol 3: ODST owners reported the same issue on the Bungie forums back in August. So either ODST didn't get enough water to be worth the trouble to fixture, or this problem is tougher to solve than Microsoft is lease on. Whatever the display case, there's one surefire room about it for those World Health Organization meet can't wait: Beat taboo for an Xbox 360 hard drive. Hey, are you a fan or non?
